January came out of nowhere again and with it comes the inescapable resolution list. Promised to be kept, bound to be broken. I haven’t done one as lengthy before and it is definitely an incentive to have them in visuals as a reminder. So check back with me in 6 months and I’ll let you know how its going.
1. Laugh more
Not that I don’t laugh much but it would be nice to laugh all the time. Definitely one to make you happier.
2. Drink more water
Ugggh, I say this every year. I would love to be guzzling on it all day but you inevitably end up bathroom clocking more than you’d like (especially annoying in an office environment). However, I’ll be working freelance from home this year so it won’t bother me too much. More water it is.
3. Spend less time on the internet
I really am a devil for this. Getting lost in rabbit holes browsing, pinning, shopping. As a graphic designer I spend 7 hours a day in front of a monitor as it is so this is one resolution I vow to keep.
And as a result of keeping resolution number 3 I should have plenty of free time for resolution number 4!
5. Love more
Family, friends, animals and anything you can love. Do it!
6. Buy a blender
After following some amazing foodie blogs (www.deliciouslyella.com is my favourite) I’m totally going to buy a blender and make delicious smoothies.
7. More yoga
I love yoga and usually go once a week. I feel amazing after it so would like to up the ante to 3/4 times a week
It’s a bit of a cliche but I have gym membership that I just never
get make time for. This year I’d like to go 4 days a week as well as jog more to achieve this…
9. Remember this
10. Experiment with food
I’d like to bring more variety to the table. I tend to circulate the same meals so it would be nice to learn more about new dishes and mix it up a little.
11. Go to Morrocco
I am in awe of the patterns, colours and fragrances associated with this country. Got to get there this year.
Getting the full 8 hours sleep and getting up early would hugely impact on how I feel throughout the day.
13. Simplicity = Style
14. Less of this…
and more of this…
15. Holistic bedroom
Really hate my cluttered, messy bedroom. Need to clear out a lot of rubbish this year and lean towards this…
16. New office
As I’ll be freelancing from home I need to start on my office project pronto. Here is my inspiration…
Longitude, Electric Picnic, Benicassim are on the list.
18. Invest in good skincare products
Not getting any younger!
19. Dye my hair back to brunette
I have had balayage for almost 2 years now. Brunette suits me the best.
20. Dine Al Fresco
Especially during the summer months
21. Be more organised
22. Be on time
Quite bad for this one.
23. Take more photos
Also want to invest in a good lens and maybe another camera. Save, save, save!
24. Take more baths
25. Experiment with make-up
26. Paint more
27. As per number 9 – Let go and give less of the s**t
28. Decorate more
29. Kiss more
That’s you Billy…
30. Buy more house plants
31. Go to the beach
This photo is actually of the beach that is less than 15 minutes away from my house. I should be there everyday!
32. This list is getting long
33. Have fun
34. And just…
So there it is! 2015 should be a great year!
Happy new year.
